Queen Appliance was founded by Len Lax in 1966 in the Valley Forge Shopping Center, next to the King movie theater, hence the name Queen Appliance. With the innate business savvy of his wife Lois, and Len's own natural sales ability and welcoming personality, they built one of the nation's most impressive and cutting-edge high-end showrooms in the appliance industry. Years later, the business has since changed locations a few times, but has still kept the same family values of integrity and customer service that have been instilled for generations. With 7 billion dollars in buying power, Queen now offers 3 convenient showrooms full of merchandise. Although Len passed away in 2011 we still see a photo of him in front of his first store hanging daily in our showrooms, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Meet the Business Owner Lois L. Business Owner Lois Lax is the owner of Queen Appliance and the matriarch of our family. Â She is proud to operate a woman-owned business (WBE Certified) and brings a level of attention to detail that has kept her business successful since 1966. Â While Lois now splits her time in retirement between Florida, Atlantic City, and Valley Forge, she is confident that her children and grandchildren are running the business with integrity and the same family values that she has instilled over the years. |
