Ed's Lawn Equipment opened 44 years ago on the pasture land of far north Dallas near the intersection of Preston Rd. and Forest Ln. In the beginning we had three different small businesses. A hardware store, a hobby shop and a lawn equipment shop. Over time the Lawn & Garden portion of the business grew and became one of Dallas-Ft.Worth's largest independent Outdoor Power Equipment dealers. After 20 years we out grew the original location and moved to Addison. We are a three generation family owned business with over 100 years combined experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry.We would like to thank all of our valued customers over the years that have allowed us to grow and prosper. Meet the Business Owner Joel T. Business Owner Joel has been running the business since he took over from his dad in his early 20's. This has been a family run business for the past 50 years since October of 1964. The name comes from Joel's father Ed who purchased the company and got it started from a small, already existing repair shop for lawn equipment. Ed grew up repairing equipment and much of his life was spent helping assemble toy sets for children. Joel learned and worked with his father for most of his teenage and adult life and has learned the business from him. The advantage we have over our competitors is that we provide service for the products we sell. We always make sure our customers leave satisfied. |
